Hi, I am Brogan

Taking the first step towards therapy can feel overwhelming, and it's completely natural to wonder whether I would be the right therapist for you. Choosing someone to share your thoughts and experiences with is an important decision, so I invite you to take your time exploring my website and getting a sense of who I am and how I work as a therapist.

As a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT) with over 10 years of experience in mental health services, including more than five years specifically as a therapist, I am also trained in EMDR. This allows me to utilize evidence-based approaches tailored to your individual needs.

My aim is to provide a warm, welcoming and non-judgmental space where you feel safe to talk openly and at your own pace. I understand that everyone's experiences are different, which is why I believe that therapy should never be a one-size-fits-all approach.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, supporting them through anxiety, trauma, low mood, stress, and many other life challenges. I work collaboratively with each person, helping them make sense of their experiences, build confidence in themselves, and develop the tools they need to create meaningful and lasting change.

Above all, I believe that feeling understood and supported is the foundation of good therapy. My hope is that, together, we can create a space where you feel comfortable, empowered, and able to move towards the life you want to live with the support of CBT and EMDR.

Therapy that meets you where you are

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may find yourself caught in patterns that are difficult to break, struggling with anxiety that won’t switch off, carrying the impact of past experiences, or feeling as though you've lost confidence in yourself. As a therapist based in Kent, I understand these struggles and how they can affect your life.

Whatever has brought you here, therapy offers the opportunity to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and begin moving towards meaningful change.

My approach, grounded in techniques like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), is centred around understanding you as a whole person, not simply the difficulties you're facing. Together, we'll explore what has shaped your experiences, identify the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical strategies to help you move forward with greater confidence.

Whether you're looking to understand yourself better, overcome anxiety, process traumatic experiences, or build self-esteem, therapy provides a safe, compassionate space where lasting change can happen.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. Sometimes, taking the first step is enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

I offer a range of online appointment times, including early morning and evening sessions, to help fit therapy around your work, family and other commitments.

My current working days are Monday to Thursday.

I currently offer online therapy, allowing you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own home. I also plan to offer face-to-face appointments from the end of 2026 in St Margaret's at Cliffe, giving you the choice of the setting that feels right for you.

If you're unsure which option would suit you best, I'd be happy to discuss this with you before arranging your first appointment.

Taking the first step can often feel like the hardest part, which is why I offer a free, no-obligation introductory call.

Simply get in touch using the contact form, and we'll arrange a time to have an informal conversation. This is an opportunity for us to discuss what has brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to gain, and whether I feel like the right therapist for you.

We'll also talk through practical details such as availability, session options and any questions you may have, so you can decide whether you'd like to take the next step with confidence.

There's no pressure to make a decision during our call – it's simply an opportunity to see whether working together feels like the right fit.

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin exploring what has brought you to therapy. We'll talk about the difficulties you're experiencing, what you hope to gain from therapy, and any questions or concerns you may have.

I'll also explain how I work and, together, we'll discuss which therapeutic approach is likely to be most helpful for your needs, whether that's CBT, EMDR or a combination of approaches. This gives you the opportunity to understand what therapy may involve and what you can expect from future sessions.

Most importantly, the first session is about making sure you feel comfortable. Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process, and this session gives you the chance to decide whether you feel we're a good fit to work together.

There is no expectation to have everything figured out before your first session. We simply begin where you are.

I have worked with Brogan, over the past few months and have found her to be a wonderful support in my psychological journey. Utilizing techniques like CBT and EMDR, she takes an individualised and flexible approach to ensure personal challenges are tackled sensitively. Quite rightly, Brogan encourages clients to work on tasks away from the sessions and gives you the space to explore and reflect when you return. The progress we made has helped me in many aspects of my personal and professional life, and I have no doubt it is due to the therapeutic relationship we established. Thank you, Brogan.
